You can create the illusion of a larger cake by utilizing pillared tiers for height. Pale pink sugar flowers and buttercream "grapes" complete this graceful yet simple design.
Viva Las Vegas! My friend, a very gregarious rockabilly boy, and his beautiful bride chose to have a "Blue Hawaiian" reception (think: Elvis). To really capture their personalities as well as the theme of their reception, I hand painted a glittering cheetah print onto fondant and cascaded blue sugar hibiscus flowers down one side. The topper, a bride and pompadoured groom, were provided by the happy couple.
Not for the faint of heart: Cheesecakes covered in rich chocolate ganache
and decorated with Belgian chocolate tiles. Yum! I first spotted this design in a copy of In Style Magazine. It was followed up the next year with a similar one in lavender.
A five star cake for a five star event, all handmade white chocolate calalilies adorned this magnificent cake in the Grand ballroom at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara.
