In these days of mass
production it is rare to find a bakery that devotes
itself to quality before quantity. Many bakers are quite willing to
sacrifice
quality ingredients in order to offer a slightly lower price and
"special deals"!
Unlike those bakeries and confectioners, we never, EVER use margarine,
shortening, pre-made cake fillings, artificial ingredients, or preservatives in
our cakes. All of our cakes are made to order from scratch with only the
finest of ingredients as we bring you the highest quality desserts in
Southern California and the Central Coast!
Sugar uses imported Belgian Chocolate and French Cocoa Powder to give
our wonderfully moist chocolate cake and chocolate mousse filling their
intensely rich and decadent flavor. Pure lemon oil gives our lemon
buttermilk cake its splendid aroma and sincere flavor. And unlike the
name infers, Sugar cakes are never too sweet! We choose to make our own
marzipan and white chocolate modeling paste for forming intricate and
delicious decorations, and pride ourselves on freshness.
Taking this philosophy one step further, Sugar has combined its love of
gourmet culinary arts with a passion for the fine arts to create
breathtaking edible masterpieces. All of our cakes are one of a kind
(never out of a molded "prefab" cake pan), made to order with care
throughout each step of the creative process.
Sugar specializes in the three dimensionally sculpted cakes, creative
sugar toppers, hand painted portraits and designs (all edible of
course!) by our award winning artists, creating unique and memorable
edible works of culinary art for every occasion, be it weddings,
birthdays, socials, corporate events or any function during which you
wish to make an everlasting impression! |
